It is said that in the 18th century, Château Carbonnieux Blanc entered the court of the Sultan of Constantinople under the name “Carbonnieux mineral water,” thanks to its great clarity, thus defying Islamic law.
The clay-limestone terroirs with Garonne gravels located in the Pessac-Léognan appellation undoubtedly produce some of the finest dry white wines in the Bordeaux region. In their youth, Carbonnieux whites charm with their freshness, purity, and aromatic intensity, both fruity and floral. With aging, they develop notes of dried and candied fruits, offering a wide range of gastronomic pairings. The lots that make up this classified growth are blended to create a harmonious balance between the grape varieties. The selected Sémillons structure the liveliness of the Sauvignons, bringing roundness and volume on the palate.
