Jefferson’s Pecan Tree

The estate’s emblematic tree, this gigantic 235-year-old pecan tree, donated by Thomas Jefferson, largely collapsed on the night of September 13th. Sad news for all lovers of Carbonnieux and for the Perrin family who have always seen this majestic subject enthroned above the towers of the castle.
